What I Could of gone better: I think what could of gone better was the communication on some points on this project between myself and Patrick Wintle, but apart from that I cant think of anything else that could of been improved.

I believe I haven’t really learnt any real new skills, however  would most defiantly say I have advanced on the skills I already required, for example photography, I already knew the basics of photography but during this module I have defiantly advanced further and would be comfortable using a camera for any future projects, also research and script writing, skills I already had, but at a basic level, and thanks to this module have now been advanced.

We decided to do this as we felt that the story flowed easier this way, where as before it seemed confusing, and because we are using still images it would of confused the viewers.

That is our production finished and ready for our presentation.

All the pictures were added now and turned black and white, with the necessary fades in between.

We watched the artifact through and we very happy with the outcome, we will look at the artifact once again in a few weeks and look to see if there is any changes we can quickly make.

We feel it is in our best interests to leave it a few weeks because if we were to do it now I don’t think we would fully be able to see past what we have already made.

We also want all our pictures to be in Black and White so we started to change all them today and we got half way through, that will be finished by tomorrow.

Tomorrow I want to add all the fades that are necessary, make sure all pictures are black and white, make sure that all the pictures and narrations are in the correct position and also watch it fully through to see what it looks like and if crucially it has achieved the ideas we both had.

We were able to cut all the narration recordings into individual WAV files and listen to them all to make sure that they still sounded how we wanted them to.

Tomorrow we aim to get all the pictures on the time line ready for the insertion of the WAV files and any transitions we decide to add.

Today we put the first load of pictures into the time line, this took a lot of time like we expected it would, whilst they were loading onto the time time we were able to listen to the narration recording and start cutting them down into individual WAV files ready to slot in after the pictures were in place.

We ended the first day of editing with only a quarter of the pictures we have on the time line, it was so time consuming but we knew this, which is why we started editing early.

Apart from the odd hick up from yesterday of not realising how Long it would take to finish, the narration recordings was a great idea and a success. We are very happy with the outcome and now we can progress with finishing off this project.

We however did not expect the process to be so time consuming, we were only able to record 3 characters voices today and we did have to ask the other people we didn’t get to, if they could come back tomorrow, fortunately we have dedicated voice actors and they were happy to come back.

That is one aspect of this project that we will learn from for future projects.

Today we had the auditions there wasn’t many people their but we did manage to narrow it down to our final characters voices. We will soon be recording their voices for our piece and then we can edit them into the artifact along with the images.

We then went over the maybe pile and got rid of 35 photos which we felt were good pictures but wouldnt strenghten our artefact.

We have now stuck the pictures into a folder in order in which they will be used in editing, this just helps us when we are editing and it speeds that whole process up as we don’t have to look through the photos trying to find the picture we want.

For the pictures of characters, taking out of the eqautuion James and Hank, the other characters have now been found pictures using googles royalty free arhcives.
